The First Xbox Game Pass Games of 2026 Show Xbox Is Still Fighting.
Across the gaming landscape, fans keep sounding the death bells for the green team. Xbox was recently outsold by a lesser-known competitor. Dedicated Xbox communities began covering on PS5 topics for the first time. Last year proved to be a period of total upheaval for the tech giant's gaming arm. But if we're going solely off the titles headed to the service in 2026, it is apparent that the green gaming company remains determined to draw people in with strong games on its flagship service.
The Current Inclusions
The two games currently accessible at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass soon that's deserving of attention.
Major Titles on the Horizon
On Jan. 13, the subscription service will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that breaks up conventional open-world tropes with an intergalactic heist adventure. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, hailed in past assessments as "a superb mixture of horror and action."
Intriguing Niche Additions
Yet, the less-hyped additions coming to Game Pass soon are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike offering thrilling gameplay, arrives January 7th — and you should try it whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.
The game set in a ruined Britain from last year might get its hooks in you remarkably quickly.
Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by the developers behind Sniper Elite, is also a game to check out. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.
A Robust Selection of Games
Ultimately, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, and they are also not first-party juggernauts that validate the subscription alone. But Microsoft's additions here are rock solid. There's a good mixture of past releases that passed you by and relatively recent releases that failed to receive the spotlight they deserved the first time around — which makes them ideal prospects to experience a revival on Game Pass.
Hope you're ready to bid farewell to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, as it happens.
