Chalobah Set to Replace Guehi in Three Lions Selection
The Chelsea star followed his brother Nathaniel in representing England, becoming the 21st pair of brothers to earn caps for the England side.
The Chelsea defender is expected to be added to the Three Lions selection to fill in for injured Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.
The 26-year-old is set to meet up with the team for England's last World Cup qualifying matches against Albania and Serbia, but it has yet to be made public.
The national side have already qualified for the upcoming World Cup.
Chalobah was given his maiden selection under England manager Thomas Tuchel in May and then made his debut against Senegal.
In September, Tuchel said Chalobah was unfortunate to be omitted from the squad for qualifying games against Andorra and Serbia, and also did not select him for the subsequent October matches.
Tuchel has been an important influence in Chalobah's progress, having handed him his Chelsea first appearance in the year 2021.
Chalobah has featured in nearly all games for Chelsea in the current campaign, with the side in third place in the Premier League, in the EFL Cup quarter-finals and in the league phase of the Champions League.
Guehi sustained a injury to his foot in Crystal Palace's Europa Conference League success over the Dutch side in their last match.
There are expected to be other inclusions to the selection. Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has announced that both attacker Anthony Gordon (hip) and shot-stopper Nick Pope (a concussion) are set to pull out from the national team.
